We spent a lot of time at Bear Lake this summer. Jett loves it up at the cabin and loves playing at the beach. It's hard to keep him from putting the sand in his mouth.

Jett just went to his 9 month check up. He weighs 20 lbs 6 oz (40th percentile) and he's 28.5" tall (60th percentile). He is very mobile, but not crawling yet. He rolls and army crawls everywhere, especially to get to his "treats."

Jett went to his 6 month check up today.

He weighs 18.5 lbs: 75th percentile

27" long: 65th percentile

Jett has become so playful, he loves to just play with me all day long and I love to play with him. Jett can now sit up on his own for a few minutes. He doesn't like tummy time so he rolls over the second I put him down. He is very close to crawling, he'll get up on his toes and pushes forward, but he doesn't lift his head off the ground, so his face just drags on the carpet. He'll figure it out soon enough. Jett loves his rice cereal and squash. I gave him carrots for the first time today and he didn't like them at all. I made him eat every bite, but they never really grew on him.

Life with baby Jett is amazing, we love him so much and are thankful to have him in our family.

Jett 4 months

We are having such a great time being the parents of sweet little Jett. He is getting so big and so playful. At his 4 month check up, he weighed 16 lbs and was 25.5" long. We love him so much.

Jett was admitted into the NICU because one of his CBC test results showed that he may have had an infection somewhere in his body. It was so sad to see him with this IV in his head and hooked up to all of the monitors. Luckily, they never found anything wrong with him so all of his treatments were just precautionary. He is so sweet and we are so happy to have him home with us.

Our sweetie boy, Jett David Powell, was born Dec. 14 @ 12:09am. He weighs 8lbs 11oz and is 21" long. After a brief stint in the NICU, he is home with us and we couldn't be happier. More to come.

Well, we finally did it (and no, I'm not referring to the fact that I'm blogging for the 1st time in 6 months). We opened David's Italian Ice on Thursday May 28th. Thanks to all who came to our friends and family night on Wednesday, we had a great turn out. We had our Grand Opening on Saturday and gave out free italian ice all day, it was a hit. So far it has been really good and everyone loves it. If you haven't been to our store yet, you should totally come check it out, because it's delicious. My favorite flavors are cotton candy and sour green apple. Dave loves the blue raspberry. By the way, Dave's sister Brittany made all of our signage and logos, she did so awesome. Thanks a ton Britt, we couldn't have done it without you.
